I am a Harbers, and live in the US, but am Dutch as well. A good source for finding where they live are the international whitepages published by Infobel Belgium. Here is a distribution of Harbers phonebook listings over the world, at least for the countries I searched so far:

NL
511

Germany
253

US
100

Canada
29

France
11

Danmark
5

UK
2

Belgium
2

UK
2

Luxembourg
0

Spain
0

Italy
0

In 1920 there where about 100 families with the name Harbers in the US. I found the census data at http://www.ancestry.com. Apparently we did not reproduce very well: now there are also 100 entries in the National US White Pages phone directory. With 2 Harbers per listing there should be about 200 people with the name Harbers in the US.

There are 511 public entries for Harbers in the Dutch phone book. It is quite easy to find this information: Click here to check for yourself .... If I assume that on average 2 people with the name Harbers share a registration, there are about 1000 people with the name Harbers in the Netherlands.

Germany shows 253 listings for Harbers in their phonebook .

Blog

I decided replace the forum I had with a blog, in the hope it gets more used.
